The New Zealand Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (NZOFAS) is very pleased and honoured to be formally accorded full membership of the IFFAS as part of the new Fifth Chapter, the Southern Federation of Foot and Ankle Societies (SFFAS).

Hyperpronation of the first metatarsal in hallux valgus (HV) is poorly understood by conventional weightbearing radiography. We aimed to evaluate this parameter using weightbearing computed tomography (WBCT) and to understand its association with other standard measurements.
After several PROMs publication in different languages, we wanted to contribute to the Spanish speaking countries with a valuable tool for patient evaluation and comparison with the published literature.
The first Spanish version of the FAOS was generated. Culturally adapted and validated with high reliability capable of evaluating different foot and ankle conditions.

Meanwhile we continue organizing IFFAS meeting in Viña del Mar, Chile taking all necessary precaution to keep everyone safe and able to enjoy one of the first big face to face meeting since the beginning of Covid.
