As foot and ankle surgery continues to evolve, surgeons’ attention focuses on patients’ perspectives and fulfillment of their expectations, which are of paramount importance to achieve a successful result. In that direction, patient-reported outcomes are strong evidence of how surgical procedures affect our patients and if they will stand the test of time.
After several PROMs publication in different languages, we wanted to contribute to the Spanish speaking countries with a valuable tool for patient evaluation and comparison with the published literature. FAOS adaptation to Spanish is the first of a series of papers considering the most used PROMs in foot and ankle surgery.
